Institutional Lines of Action
Presently, CINEP carries out its work in order to construct peace in Colombia as a condition for human development. Likewise, the Center seeks to adapt its efforts to the challenges presented by this development in the midst of the conflict. The guiding principle of this effort is the creation of a team with a critical and constructive analysis capable of encouraging inclusive, democratic processes in alliance with the most impoverished and abandoned sectors of Colombian society.
In order for this to be done, our work is undertaken through the following four complementary lines of action: regional analysis and participation (with projects directly involving local communities), national analysis and participation (incorporating research concerned with structural issues of national interest), a peace program (which attempts to bring about conditions that forge a culture for peace), and administrative and financial management (which allows for the operational management of the institution’s different program and projects).
